Hezbollah Plumbs the Depths of Human Depravity;
Israel Gets All the Bad Press
It was as inevitable as the next sunrise. An Israeli air strike
in the southern Lebanese town of Qana that was intended to
kill some of the Hezbollah terrorists who started an
unprovoked war against it, instead killed dozens of women and
children in a building that was leveled. It had to happen
sooner or later -- despite Israel’s extraordinary caution at the
risk of its own soldiers’ lives -- and it finally did almost three
weeks into the conflict.
One can only imagine the sight of Hezbollah terrorists
dancing in their hidden bunkers from which they plot against
Jewish civilians 24/7 and from which they make their plans to
sacrifice Lebanese civilians in their depraved terror/
propaganda war against Israel. Hezbollah continuously
plumbs the bottomless depths of its own depravity and Israel
gets all the bad press.
It‘s an infuriatingly mixed up world full of useful idiots that
play into the terrorists’ hands every time. No matter how often
the depraved tactics of Hezbollah are exposed for all to see,
Israel is the one that gets vilified. It’s as if the entire world is
engaged in a drunken, Mel Gibson-esque, anti-Jew tirade. But
the difference is that while Gibson eventually sobered up and
apologized, the world shows absolutely no signs of reforming
itself. If you are a Jew-hating terrorist, these are the golden
days with no end in sight.
Of course, it wouldn’t be possible without the moral
confusion of not just the Arab countries, but the advanced
countries of the West as well, most of whom have become terror
appeasers of the highest order. For whatever twisted reasons,
they refuse to give much acknowledgement to the fact that
while Hezbollah operates outside the bounds of any moral
restraints, Israel adheres to very strict ones. And while
Hezbollah itself knows and understands Israel’s moral decency
perfectly well, it wages an endless propaganda campaign to
convince its constituents, as well as the world at large, of just
the opposite.
But the slightest bit of analytic thought by a sentient human
brain belies the propaganda. It is not in dispute that
Hezbollah terrorists use human shields to protect themselves.
The only reason they would do that is because they assume
Israel’s moral decency. Otherwise, hiding behind civilians
would have zero deterrent value because if Israel had no moral
decency, it would blast away at everything, civilians or not. If
Israel’s moral standards were on the same level as Hezbollah,
most of Lebanon and Gaza would consist of apocalyptic,
depopulated wastelands of rubble and human bones.
Ironically, Hezbollah’s very survival actually depends on
Israel’s decency.
Hezbollah also knows that no matter how careful Israel is,
mishaps are going to occur, and when they do, their
propaganda-meisters, not to mention the world media, are all
over it like stink on dung. It is one of the world’s most colossal
disconnects from reality and Hezbollah milks it for all it’s
worth.
As further evidence of Israel’s moral decency, it agreed to a
temporary cessation of its airstrikes in order to give Lebanese
civilians even more opportunity than they had already had to
evacuate the war zone, as well as to investigate the incident at
Qana. In the meantime, Lebanese Prime Minister Fouad
Siniora, in a profound break with rationality, was thanking
Hezbollah for its “sacrifices” in its war against Israel. “I also
thank all those,” he said, “who sacrifice their lives for the
independence and sovereignty of Lebanon.”
Spoken like a true Lebanese Hez-bot! But this guy is the
prime minister of the country and is supposed to be a bit more
astute than the brainwashed masses. Thanking Hezbollah?
“Thank you sir, may I have another?”
Hezbollah is a terrorist organization that has hijacked much
of Siniora’s country. Hezbollah started an absolutely senseless
war with Israel. Hezbollah is the sole reason southern Lebanon
is being devastated. Thank you Hezbollah! May I have
another?
As the entire world knows, Hezbollah does the bidding of
Iran and Syria, not Lebanon. All of those parties will be
perfectly content to fight to the last Lebanese in order to satisfy
their blood-mad bloodlust against Israel. But without the
cancer of Hezbollah, Lebanon would likely be a fully
functioning, prosperous democracy and a model to the rest of
the Arab world. Thanking Hezbollah truly makes Siniora a
candidate for a butterfly net and a rubber room.
Sooner or later there is likely to be a ceasefire in this
conflict, as opposed to a clear victor. If Hezbollah is allowed to
slink away with whatever is left of its arsenal fully intact, a
major battle in the war between civilization and terrorism goes
to the bad guys. That would not be a good outcome because
terrorists and their state sponsors, as well as tin-pot despots
the world over, are fast learning how they may come to prevail
over the civilized powers of the West by simply using their
moral decency against them. It’s getting to be as easy as taking
candy from a baby. Or as easy as putting babies in harm’s way
and waiting for the bombs to go off.
By the way, this isn’t the first time tragedy has visited Qana,
compliments of the Teflon terrorists of Hezbollah. In 1996
Israel entered southern Lebanon in an attempt to stop
Hezbollah from firing Katyusha rockets into northern Israel.
(Sound familiar?) As per standard procedure, Hezbollah fired
some of its rockets from areas very near a UN compound that
was housing Lebanese refugees. The compound was hit by
Israel and 100 civilians were killed.
Call it Hezbollah’s gift to Lebanon, the gift that never stops
giving. I don’t want to say they’re brainwashed, zombiefied
gluttons for punishment, but when will the hapless citizens of
Lebanon ever learn? And when will the world ever learn and
turn its condemnation where it properly belongs?
